The ground

One valve running trees, shrubs and groundcover together, so something was always either drowning or dry.

Drip lines run to each planting group on its own zone, with controller scheduling set to the depth each group actually roots to.

Trees watered deep and infrequently, shrubs on their own cycle, and a schedule we revisit as the planting fills in.
