Landscaping in Sun City West, Arizona
Xeriscape conversions, paver work and irrigation upgrades in Sun City West, Arizona, designed for year round low upkeep.
Sun City West asks for the same thing its neighbour does, and asks for it a little more precisely. Yards need to look finished in every month of the year, hold to community standards without argument, and take almost nothing to maintain. Those three goals pull against each other unless the design accounts for all of them at once, which is why we do the thinking before the digging.
A conversion is the most common job we take here. An old turf lawn comes out, and what replaces it is not simply rock. It is a composed front yard with a clear line of approach, planting placed for the shape it will hold in five years rather than the shape it has in the nursery pot, and a paver surface where people actually walk. Done properly it uses a fraction of the water, needs a fraction of the attention, and looks better in January than the lawn ever did.
Access matters here too. Streets are narrower and neighbours are close, so we stage material where it does not block anyone, keep the site tidy at the end of each day, and work the hours the community expects us to work.
The ground
Mature lots with aging irrigation, tight street access, and community guidelines covering front yard plant material and finishes.
The build
Turf out, composed desert planting and paver circulation in, on irrigation zoned per plant type. Material staged so it does not block the street, and the site left clean each evening.
The follow through
One crew from first cut to final sweep, valves labelled and mapped before we leave, and the street put back the way we found it. Narrow frontages mean our trucks are your neighbours problem too, and we treat them that way.
